On December 16, 2025, Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment announced that methoxychlor would be added to the list of banned ingredients in environmental pesticides. This prohibits the manufacture, processing, import, export, sale, or use of products containing methoxychlor, with testing conducted using a method detection limit (MDL) of 10. Thia aligns with methoxychlor being listed as a persistent organic pollutant (POP) under the Stockholm Convention and it reinforces Taiwan’s commitment to protecting human health and the environment.

Methoxychlor Added to Banned Pesticide Ingredients
