ECHA CHEM OECD eChemPortal Chemical Databases Global Chemical Information Substance Information Regulatory Data REACH Registrations
On 20 April 2026, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced that the latest REACH registration data, published in its central database, ECHA CHEM, has been integrated into the OECD eChemPortal.
This update comprises approximately 5,000 revised REACH registrations and 1,229 newly registered substances. Users of the eChemPortal can now access the corresponding source data in ECHA CHEM directly, which improves traceability and facilitates more efficient access to regulatory information.
Improved access to global chemical data
The OECD eChemPortal is a global platform that enables users to search for information on chemical substances across multiple governmental databases. It supports both substance-specific and property-based searches, bringing together data from regulatory authorities worldwide.
This update enhances the availability and usability of EU chemical data in an international context, supporting regulators, industry, and other stakeholders in accessing harmonised chemical information.
