HSE Survey GB CLP Regulation Classification Labelling and Packaging Hazard Classes Refill Stations UK Chemicals Regulation
On 29 April 2026, the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) launched a voluntary survey to gather feedback on the potential impact of amending the Great Britain Classification, Labelling and Packaging (GB CLP) Regulation. This initiative is part of the HSE’s ongoing review of the regime and includes efforts to align the requirements Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) and Northern Ireland, as well as safeguarding the UK’s internal market.
Focus on Alignment with EU Measures
The HSE is considering incorporating selected EU CLP updates into the GB framework and is seeking input from supply chain actors on the operational and business impacts of such changes. The survey specifically targets manufacturers, importers, downstream users, and distributors operating in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Deadline and Scope
The survey is open until 31 May 2026 (23:59 BST) and participation is voluntary. HSE has clarified that the information provided will be used solely for research and policy development purposes and will not be used for regulatory inspections.
