On 29 April 2026, the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) launched a voluntary survey to gather feedback on the potential impact of amending the Great Britain Classification, Labelling and Packaging (GB CLP) Regulation. This initiative is part of the HSE’s ongoing review of the regime and includes efforts to align the requirements Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) and Northern Ireland, as well as safeguarding the UK’s internal market.

Focus on Alignment with EU Measures

The HSE is considering incorporating selected EU CLP updates into the GB framework and is seeking input from supply chain actors on the operational and business impacts of such changes. The survey specifically targets manufacturers, importers, downstream users, and distributors operating in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
