Scope of the consultation and next steps
ECHA is seeking additional information on the uses and volumes of the substances, their potential exemptions from the authorisation requirement, and the structure and complexity of the relevant supply chains. Registrants and downstream users are also invited to ensure that the use information in their REACH registration dossiers is up to date.
Following the consultation, the Member State Committee will prepare an opinion on ECHA’s draft recommendation. ECHA will then submit its final recommendation to the European Commission, which will decide whether the substances should be included in Annex XIV and under which conditions.
