Knowing your obligations under cosmetic regulations in Turkey
Turkish Cosmetic Regulation complies with the EU Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009. The purpose of this legislation is to ensure that cosmetic products reach the consumer with accurate and understandable information in a way that does not cause any mistakes and does not harm human health. They must have technical qualifications, packaging information, notifications, market placement, market surveillance and inspections and production site inspections to regulate the procedures and principles regarding the measures. It includes all legal regulations published by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency “TITCIK” for companies operating in the field of cosmetics and companies/ organizations that carry out studies or research on volunteers for cosmetic products or raw materials.
