In India, overall chemical regulation is not adapted, though the Food chemicals and agrochemicals along with certain defined hazardous chemicals, are regulated within different regulations. Currently there is no Inventory of chemical substance available in India and the GHS based regulation is under its draft stage (dormant). Also Draft Chemical policy is available, but is yet not finalized.
