June 13 12:30 - 12:30 CEST / 16:00 - 17:00 IST

Plant Protection Products (PPP) Regulatory Updates

The regulation of agrochemicals in the European Union (EU) and India is an important component of agricultural policy that aims to ensure food safety, environmental protection, and public health. While both regions share identical aims, such as increasing agricultural output and sustainability, their regulatory regimes differ significantly due to various socioeconomic and environmental conditions.

As one of the developed economies, the EU has a highly regulated system to manage the placing of Plant Protection Products (PPP) on its market. Following the end of the Brexit transitional period an independent pesticide regulatory regime is in operation in UK (Great Britain) from 1st January 2021.

On the other hand, India's agrochemical regulation landscape is distinguished by a dynamic mix of national policies and laws shaped by the country's agrarian diversity, socioeconomic issues, and developmental aspirations. India has made tremendous progress in regulating agrochemicals to promote food safety and environmental sustainability.

Our webinar will provide a summary of EU and India regulatory requirements for agrochemical registration in both the regions, explaining the compliance requirements and benefits. Key points to be covered in this webinar:

  • Overview of registration process and requirements of active substance & plant protection products in EU
