The EU chemicals regulatory landscape is entering an important period of change, bringing both broader reforms under EU REACH and new, time-sensitive obligations for microplastics. This two-part webinar will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of these developments and practical guidance on preparing for their impact.

In the first part, the session will examine the latest developments under EU REACH, including upcoming regulatory deadlines and the anticipated revision of the REACH Regulation. While companies must continue meeting their existing registration, evaluation, authorisation, restriction and dossier-update obligations, they should also prepare for potential changes to registration requirements, supply-chain communication, chemical data quality and regulatory enforcement.

The planned REACH revision is expected to strengthen the protection of human health and the environment, improve the availability and quality of chemical information, simplify certain regulatory processes and support the transition towards safer and more sustainable chemicals. Our experts will discuss how these developments may affect manufacturers, importers, downstream users and Only Representatives, and outline practical steps for reviewing substance portfolios, maintaining registration dossiers and developing proactive compliance strategies.

The second part will focus on the EU restriction on intentionally added synthetic polymer microparticles under Regulation (EU) 2023/2055. The session will explain how microplastics are defined, which substances and polymers fall within or outside the scope of the restriction, and which uses may continue under specific derogations or transitional arrangements.

Participants will also receive a practical overview of the reporting obligations to the European Chemicals Agency, including who is required to report, what information must be submitted and which deadlines apply. The session will help companies identify potentially affected products, understand their responsibilities across the supply chain and plan the necessary compliance actions ahead of key transition and reporting dates.

Designed for manufacturers, importers, downstream users, Only Representatives, product stewardship teams and regulatory professionals, this webinar will provide the knowledge needed to manage emerging EU REACH requirements, reduce compliance risks and maintain continued access to the EU market.

Join us to stay ahead of evolving EU chemicals legislation and ensure your organisation is prepared for the next phase of EU REACH and microplastics compliance.
