On 17 December and 23 December 2025, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) opened the public consultation to revise GB 30000 series standards to bring GHS Rev. 11 in system. Both consultation notices (1 and 2) were published on the MIIT portal. These standards are being revised from GHS Rev. 4 to 11.

Previous Consultation in 2025

Earlier on 4 March 2025, China opened consultation of the standard GB 30000.30-2025 for Desensitized Explosives. This was based on the GHS Rev. 10. More details can be found here.

Key Insights from the Draft

Following table represents the GB standards which are subject to revision as per GHS Rev. 11. Earlier these standards were based on GHS Rev. 4 but now they will be replaced by the revised ones after final approval.  

Comment period and Enforcement Dates

Interested stakeholders were invited to comment on these drafts by 23 and 30 December 2025 respectively. MIIT has planned to complete these projects in 16 months cycle, but there is no update on the enforcement dates yet.
