Türkiye’s Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has published a new announcement on the KKDIK registration process, providing updates on pending registration numbers, system-related technical issues, company inspections, and preparations for extension requests through the Chemical Registration System (KKS). For substances whose registration applications have been completed but whose registration numbers have not yet been issued, the Ministry has confirmed that the application number may be used until the registration number is assigned. Necessary measures will also be taken to complete applications where system-related technical issues prevented applicants from obtaining registration numbers.
The Ministry is continuing its work on inspection processes for companies subject to KKDIK registration obligations.
For provisionally registered substances with a full registration deadline of December 31, 2026, technical preparations are underway to enable companies to submit extension requests through KKS. The Ministry stated that further information about this process will be provided. In light of these developments, companies should review their current KKDIK registration status, outstanding obligations, and the actions required ahead of upcoming registration deadlines.
